Anyone can build a full budget 5.1 system for this price :
Klipsch Reference Theater Pack ~$300
BIC America F12 subwoofer ~$200
Denon AVR-S 570BT ~$280
Even an old Yamaha YAS-109 for ~$100 + BIC America F12 sub for ~$200 would be preferable over this for bass lovers.
I have a full 5.2.4 system in the theater, and a Yamaha YAS-108 soundbar connected to an SVS pb12 in bedroom. The virtual surround sound punches far above its price point, and connecting to a legit sub makes a world of difference.
Yamaha stopped making sound bars with standard subwoofer outputs, so these legacy models are hidden gems.

I have soundbars in small bedrooms, but I greatly prefer the extra stereo separation one gets from a theater set of speakers, a sub and a receiver. If you are reading this, and you have the room, if you are on the fence here's my vote to treat yo self. If you don't have the room, be thankful we live in such amazing times that we can get a decent experience with something as simple to set up as a soundbar.

The "form factor" defense is a great argument right up until the soundbar attempts to move air below 80Hz, at which point it does its best impression of an overpriced Bluetooth speaker having an asthma attack in a pillow fort. 😆
You clearly skimmed right past the YAS-109 - the entire point being a soundbar that solves your form factor concern And doesn't collapse into a wheezing mess the second bass shows up.
Similar footprint. Real bass. A massive upgrade, and at less than half the price of the OP soundbar.
The bass on this thing is fine.. I don't understand why you would need anything stronger unless you had a theater room, in which case you aren't looking at this setup period. Are you commenting on the performance of this thing from experience or are you going through your 'my way is the best way' phase?
