Have been using these for past 6 years. They look almost brand new and they take a beating with daily lunchbox use, leftovers storage and reheating, and dishwasher washing and drying (including lids). I have also frozen leftovers in them occasionally and haven't had any problems. Their lids are far better than Pyrex lids which start to crack in couple of years.

I have these as well and don't like the fact that you can't put the the lids in the microwave. Also the lids are sometimes Very difficult to snap on - to the point where I have to leave some sides unsnapped. I haven't tried too many other brands for comparison but these ones aren't perfect for me.

I have seen these problems with all brands that have snap on lids. Often it fixes itself the moment I take it out and turn the sides, if that makes sense. Try it out.

These are awesome containers. No staining, works in the fridge or freezer. You can put the glass part in a toaster oven for reheating. Wifey demands nesting of containers and these do it well. I did have a lid break after a few years of use...I need to get up with Glasslock about a warranty replacement. It still seals with 3 snaps instead of 4, though.

Regarding microwave use...the lids are fine in the microwave. What you need to avoid is keeping the seal lined up. Gasses will heat/expand and force their way out if unlatched, or basically become super pressurized if latched. If you let the lid sit and let things cool down, you'll make a really strong vacuum and have a hard time removing the lid. Just rotate the lid like 15 degrees and you'll have splatter protection, trap a bit of moisture to avoid food drying out, and there will be no vacuum effect.
