These 1.5V lithium AA rechargeables stand out for devices that want alkaline-like voltage, especially Xbox controllers, Blink cameras, smart locks, and other power-hungry gear. The included holder doubles as the charger, which makes charging simpler, and the batteries are reported to hold 1.5V longer than NiMH cells. Runtime can be strong, with some setups lasting weeks or months. The main cautions are sudden drop-off with little warning, compatibility limits with the charger and chemistry, and occasional dead or failing cells. A practical option if you need full-voltage AAs and can handle the charging quirks.

Proprietary charger fails your screwed. I bought these July 2025 for $13 and they are still going strong. I have another similar style and haven't tried to cross the batteries/chargers, but this one definitely lasts longer than the other. I just use these for blink cameras and charge them at 5V-1A (pretty sure that is what the manual called for and made me question the charge rate claim) while I think the other called for 3A, all my generic batteries I'd rather do at 1A while I'm at home and aware of it charging just in case
Is there something wrong if charged with fast chargers?

Except mah is a bogus unit. It only makes sense when the voltage is the same. By itself It's not unit of energy nor power Not sure why people even using it. Except to make your number look bigger. WH is it an actual unit of power.
Watts are a unit of power, watt hours are a unit of energy.

If you are going to criticize nomenclature get the nomenclature right please LOL

edit, ok, you're did, jokes on me. Ah is still a weird unit to list as the primary.

FWIW, there are several "brands" of what appears to be this very same kit on Amazon. I bought one over the winter from a different brand, and put the batteries through a couple of charge and discharge cycles. Of the 8 cells, once cell died after the first cycle and a second seemed to be wonky (would only charge for a very short time then say it was full and delivered very little power before dying). So that kit got returned, and that "brand" seems to have dropped off Amazon. The second kit came with a different charger, and I think those batteries were rated 3,600mWH and they worked fine through the 2 cycle test so I deployed them. 4 of those are in Blink cameras working fine and the other 4 lasted about 3 months in my smart lock, which is similar to alkaline. While they are working fine, that "brand" also disappeared from Amazon. My third purchase was from EBL. Those also seem to work fine, but they don't work with my Schlage lock (seems like the positive terminal is slightly larger in diameter). It seems these are slightly out of spec with standard AA cells, so this might be a unique situation but one to be aware of with these types of rechargeable AAs. So, being a keyboard jockey here, but my time and frustration are worth more to me than potentially getting stuck with a dud, so I'm planning to stick with EBL (not for the lock) or Xtar going forward given the brands have been around for a long time. If I had to start over (and didn't have the smart lock issue), I'd grab either the $30 EBL set (8 batteries and charger) or if still using some Nimh batteries, the $16 Xtar L4 Pro charger and the $23 set of 8 EBL batteries. While it's $9 more for this combo, the Xtar charger can refresh Nimh batteries (I have about a dozen Eneloops I still use for some low drain devices like remotes, mice and keyboards). I just bought the Xtar L4 Pro charger since my 10-year old Lacrosse BC700 seems to be on its last legs.
Curious what do you use for your Schlage?

I've used the lithium EBL batteries in my smart lock. They last a lot longer, but I lose the warning on the lock when the batteries are dying. I don't use them in the smart lock anymore.

Bogus? Nope, not really.

mAh is measure of electric charge capacity. It is a directly measurable unit by simple tools at any factory, or shop, or by any user.

Since a mWh measurement is simply charge capacity (mAh) x voltage (V), unless the voltage is less than 1.0, the result will always "look bigger" than the MWh value.

Every single rechargeable battery out there is labeled in mAh. Watt hours, even if it is more accurate, tells me nothing when shopping for batteries.

Code SXPEQGU9 doesn't work
SXPEQGU9 still seems to work. If you're using the Amazon app you might be missing the step of tapping on the arrow that appears in the promo code box to apply the code (before tapping the Continue button).

What's the verdict on these rechargeable lithium batteries?

Good rechargeable batteries for normal everyday use?
