You also have to be careful with these because they can burst a tube of caulk pretty easily. My first attempt with the Milwaukee blew out the back of the tube and required extensive clean up. 😃

This cordless 10 ounce caulking gun is best for high volume sealing and adhesive work, especially when pushing thick materials or clearing dried caulk from a nozzle. It makes jobs like brick expansion joints much easier than squeezing a manual gun, and the included two batteries add convenience for keeping it loaded and ready. The main drawback is control, since small detail beads on tile, countertops, and similar trim work can be harder to manage. Tube blowouts and dribbling can happen if the tip size and speed are mismatched.

I have the original old style ryobi tube. I have used it as you said fur adhesive. But I have also used it for running beads on kitchen counters, bathtubs, windowsill and more.
For best success and bead sizes, it started with the size of the homm
hole you cut on the caulking tube. Followed by the speed of the gun. For small beads you Must use the lowest setting/speed and then work your way up the speed to fit your need.
For construction adhesive you can start with a big hole cut at the yip and a more aggressive speed.
However the only time I blew a tube was when using construction adhesive or had the setting too high/fast for the tip hole size.
Once you master the right tip size vs speed, no more blown tunes.
Tip: I wrap the gun trigger and handle with saran wrap. When it get too messy from handling, i replace with a new saran wrap.
