I've been a faithful subscriber of AllTrails+ for years but the ensh*ttification of the service is starting to bug me. Ok fine, I'm ok with you paywalling new features behind yet *another* higher subscription tier, but stop effing nagging me to pay for the higher tier every time I open the damn app.

Well worth it for downloading maps to your mobile. I also use onx backcountry. Alltrails is easier for a hiker to find new trails and preview the route. I find onx somewhat more accurate in exactly tracking my route, but the interface is not as easy to use as Alltrails.

Great product, you just have to wait for this sake that comes around roughly quarterly.
Not valid on renewals but IS valid on reactivating expired AllTrails+ memberships.

If y'all just want offline maps, grab comaps (or organic maps), which lets you download the entire world from openstreetmaps, which has trails marked.

that said, I use alltrails plus and t-sat

It goes on sale at some point every month. Granted 1/2 is better than usual. Let you subscription expire for any amount of time and you can then get the discounted rates. You won't lose any maps you have saved to a list.

I just use Garmin explorer for off-line navigation and it's free. All trails is good for looking up reviews.
