just throwing this out there as a tip. my local store will sell me promar under a random contractor account. With this deal a gallon comes out to about $35ish or less. certain jobs certainly require a higher level of paint, but im fine with builder grade on lightly used walls

FYI: You can get a $30 off $100 coupon if you fill in the brief form here: https://www.sherwin-williams.com/...s/in-store. I received a coupon by email that had a unique barcode on it. You can have the coupon scanned if buying in store, or you can copy the barcode numbers from the coupon and paste them into the coupon code box during checkout if buying on line. Not sure if there are any exclusions but I was able to buy woodscape stain online and got an extra $30 off.

the pricing is a little different on the gallons, yes. But this sale stacks with it. cant really compare promar reg price, because they dont sell it as a walk-in, but I think its equivalent to their lowest tier consumer level. I paid $35 last week when it was 30% off

Thanks, i think I did this when I bought two cans of Duration in 2023. Will try again now and report back.

EDIT: Thanks again, I used the code I was texted for two separate orders of a single 1-gallon can of exterior duration.

In June '23 I paid about $50 plus tax per can with the same discounts, today it was about $60 per, or about +20% in three years.

EDIT 2: Tried the $10 code again today, it reports as already used. Also used the $30 yesterday.

Yep... follow the money. I had several sheets of OSB to prime and paint. I was surprised when they told me the water based that they sold me would be perfect for 3/4" OSB sheets. I'd always heard it was better to use oil based. Now I have several sheets of OSB flaking up, as expected. Emailed their website and they said to use oil based for OSB. After buying 4 gallons I will just stick with Walmart instead of my local "experts". 3.5 gallons of Kiltz primer at Walmart was $60. Update; No refund, I got screwed by the SW experts.
