This is a 2023 model. They were replaced by the "horizon 20" models in late 2025. The base model horizon 20 has better specs and been around $900-1000 recently.

I have an older Wemax Nova projector running Android TV. What ever happened to them or their support anyway... It's slow now, but I have it set to the input automatically starts on HDMI 1, for example. And I just hook up an external device to that and it's good to go. I imagine you can do the same with a mini PC or whatever you want.

I have had good experiences with xgimi projectors but an unknown website like this wellbots.com is not someplace I'd throw $800+ at.

I have been using it daily for 3 years now and zero issues.
It is easy to setup and has a lot of adjustment options.
Picture quality is pretty good as well. Slightly better than the Epson 5060ub that has been on a break since I got this.
