Had two AirPods both developed a high pitched noise. Did some research - defective apple product. Class action suit. Apple refuses to acknowledge and do recall. Apple was also caught giving defective AirPods as replacements warranty claims. I bought Shokz from costco great sound , no earwax problem and no ear drum damage.

As a practical note: I use these for their FDA hearing function. It's amazing. I had no idea all the sounds I was missing. The only way to set them up, tho, is with an Apple phone on iOS 18 or later. Once set up you *can* sync them to an Android device, but I will say it gets a bit janky. Was at a TCG tournament and for some reason they decided to lock in on the music and not the voice of the person *directly in front of me*. I just keep them synced to the old iPhone my dad gave me and carry 2 phones with me. It's annoying, but worth it to be able to hear, and hearing aids after all the bills and such are much more expensive than these. Added benefit that now I talk at a reasonable volume, and I've been apologizing to everyone lol

Apple Products are overpriced ass these days. Half the time you put them in this stupid upright clamshell and one of the buds doesn't charge. Never have had any of these issues with my Samsung buds of any variety. Apple fan boys are delusional

Nope this is a problem with all these stupid upright garbage clamshells. Happened to me this morning, one bud is 100% the other at 10%. Apple engineers are morons. Never had this issue with Samsung buds which are superior in every way but of course Apple pigeonholes any other brand to make their trash feel "superior".
