States free shipping but trying to bang me for $9.99.

I HATE northerntool- every time I give them another try they disappoint me (If anyone spends much time here you'll agree).

I don't get what regular people are getting these for. If you are wrecheting every day then fair enough. But like I am in construction, I work on my cars, I build homes, so my own plumbing, HVAC, electrical, I build sound systems, I build my own computers, I diy pretty much everything. And I got one of these and never used it. Recently sold it. Between an impact wrench and a hand socket wrench, especially a flex head one, that's all I have ever needed. Ok, granted, my cars don't need work every other week.....but most people's cars don't either!

I get what youre saying. However, I just did lifters on my 2008 gmc 5.3 and my Milwaukee ratchet was a Godsend. Tight to reach spots and easy bolt removals. If you value your time, I highly recommend one. If time is a luxury you have, then you definitely dont need this.

How does this compare to DCF510B which let's you swap the anvil between 3/8 and 1/2?

I think you answered your own question. The DCF510B has interchangeable shank sizes between 3/8 and 1/2. This is only 3/8.

I have this tool and think it's great but I'm in your camp. 30 years ago when I did a lot of work on cars it would have been great but now the only time I use this I'm using it just to use it, just no real need for it.

Similar story here...I collect all these XR tools and this tool was once high on the wish list in my head waiting for a good tool+battery deal. I would have probably jumped on this deal 2-3 years ago, but I've kinda paid attention to myself since knowing this tool existed, and discovered that I don't really use wrenches all that much. And when I do, it's for specific hit it quick jobs. Maybe in another life. It's a cool tool, but it would be a dust collector for me.

$88.00 for the battery $88.00 for the tool is a really really good deal this is a smoking deal because they dropped the actual price of the tool to 159 it's not over $200.00 so yeah this is a really good deal.

Not free shipping unless you have a $40/yr membership, otherwise seems it's $9.99. Home Depot has the same cost for the tool only, so really it's up to you if you want the 8AH battery for $10.

I changed out an alternator and starter the past 2 months and I could never have done it without this tool. My cars engine is so cramped,I could barely get my hand through all the hoses and wires. They make cars so that you can't service them yourself. I was quoted $1,200 to change just the alternator, because they know it's 3-4 hours of labor. I used to change an alternator in 10 minutes. Not today. These new cars engines are chicken wire. Good luck removing bolts with a ratchet wrench. Not enough room to turn your hand. Enter this... Loosen the bolt and this tool will takeoff the nut. Easy peezy. I agree you won't always need it but when you do, it'll pay for itself. I also let a neighbor borrow mine for his alternator.
