PressReader [pressreader.com] is offering free access to its catalog of National and International newspapers and magazines through select Public Library and Organizations. Below are a few publications:

The Economist
The Boston Globe
NYT
USA Today

Sign-in Instructions:
1. Click to sign in with "Library or Group"
2. Enter the Library login credentials (usually member number & PIN)
3. Confirm details and view catalog

Repped. I use the Chrome unlock extension to read cached articles. Not as good as a free pass, but good enough.

Looks like my library won't work for this. Keeps saying "Invalid Patron Barcode or Password". I did verify my credentials were entered correctly.

About 20 times. Tried manually entering everything, copy/pasting. No joy.

Is your library on the list? If so, it should definitely work. Maybe run it by a librarian at the local library to validate.

It's on the list. I don't need to register with Press Reader also, do I? I just followed your directions to pick login with my library and it says that wrong barcode, etc... error after I put in my library login.

No registration. Just select the "Library or Group" as a sign in method. After that, it'll let you locate your library and then enter the card # and PIN.
