I've always been excited for these, but read lots of bad reviews on how it doesn't really seal well.
Does anyone have any personal experience with it?

But...why? How often do you disconnect your dryer hose? To clean it once a year?

With a clamp, yeah it takes a screwdriver and a few extra seconds to tighten the clamp, but then you know you have a good seal when you go to push the machine back in.

How is this a deal at 20 bucks? For something you /might/ access once a year and save 15 seconds...it's a few magnets and plastic.

At 5 bucks it would be a good deal. 10? ehh...

The $50 OG price is comical.

The intended purpose is to be able to have a shorter and straighter flexible vent ducting hose, especially in tight situations. The ducting can be much shorter than it needs to be to hook it up traditionally before sliding the dryer back into place.

When I moved into my house, my dryer was in a really bad spot with absolutely no clearance, partly because it vented straight down into the floor at a perfect 90° angle, right against the back wall. The existing vent had been kludged together with duct tape and vent parts, and was falling apart. Because of the layout of the room and how far back the dryer had to be placed, there was no room for extra hose, but no access if I cut it short. Then I saw one of these (different brand) and purchased their 90° version. It was an absolute game-changer. Took me 2 minutes to get it done, and the magnets are super powerful and made a great seal. I used a camera to ensure it was lined up and to monitor the adapter "docking" with the vent. I can't vouch for the brand in this deal, but it looks pretty similar. My only concern is that the version I used (MagVent) had a flanged hose adapter to help guide it into place and maintain a good seal. The photos on this listing make their adapter seem perfectly flat, which might not be ideal.

The main purpose is allowing a shorter and straighter vent ducting than you would need to have with traditional connection.

I posted my experience below. In short, I loved it, but it was a different brand with a slightly different design. https://slickdeals.net/f/19851513-prime-jeevony-magnetic-dryer-vent-coupling-kits-various-from-19-98-free-shipping-w-prime-or-on-35?p=186068655#post186068655

This seems like it would be good for venting 3d printing fumes. I printed my own magnetic adapter.

Ok, serious question. I am a wood worker, would this hold up for my dust collection?

How did you move the dryer? Mines on a pedestal and is very heavy
