Make sure your vehicle has the circuitry for this. Many cars' 12V sockets are only rated (and equipped with a limiting fuse) for 10 or 15 Amps, whereas this would require at around 30 Amps minimum (allowing for conversion inefficiency) to output 300W sustained.

This is fairly an old product. I remember someone testing it and it tests had revealed that it delivers dirty power. My Lenovo and Dell power adapters make that squealing noises but still functions normal and has not damaged anything. My other cars already have 150w AC outlets from the factory.

I sometimes have to use my laptop for several hours at a time on long roadtrips and must have a way to power it. The USB-C ports on some (maybe most?) vehicles will not put out enough and don't put out anything if you exceed some small limit, so they won't even slow charge it while it's off. I did end up using a cigarette lighter to USB-C adapter that was supposed to have been rated for 45W out of each port, but I learned the 45W rating was for a 16V system like on a Tesla, and it only outputs 35W on a 12V system. With one of these, I could have powered the laptop with the 120VAC power supply (not sure about those 4.8A USB ports).

Just a warning, if you think you are going to pull close to the max on this, it needs to be hooked straight to a battery. That is a lot of current and heat for the small wires.

interesting, it seems it should work in a tesla (16v lithium internal battery), but more than one review suggests it does not; the following review appears to be for the same model as is liked in this deal; but at this price i might get it anyway and give it a go:

The device is well built, compact, and nicely designed for use in my 2007 MB SLK 280 to power my Lenovo P50 laptop. But, it will NOT work in a Tesla Model Y (which was its intended use). The 2022 Tesla Model Y uses the 'new' 16v standard for the two cigarette lighter ports (rather than the ubiquitous 12v used virtually everywhere else in the world).
