Make sure your vehicle has the circuitry for this. Many cars' 12V sockets are only rated (and equipped with a limiting fuse) for 10 or 15 Amps, whereas this would require at around 30 Amps minimum (allowing for conversion inefficiency) to output 300W sustained.

Back in the day- my parents had us driving 24 hour road trip. We plugged in a tv (13" tube), Super Nintendo, and a small fan (terrible AC in that astrovan) and those hours went by a lot quicker than not having it. That'd be a little on the high side of energy but it was a good time.

The input isn't the problem here, the problem here is what your vehicle's sockets support. As others have pointed out, this doesn't come with battery clamps, so they're expecting you to plug this into a 12V socket.
