No offense but just because both are called Turtle Wax Wash & Wax it doesn't mean they have the same formulation.

The AutoZone Orange formula relies on a harsher detergent-based formula. It is a legacy product designed for standard, unprotected daily drivers. It relies heavily on surface tension cleaners to combat hard water scale and fight environmental buildup like acid rain.
The Costco Tropical formula is a modern, slick wash built with high-shine polymers. Instead of relying on aggressive detergents to strip dirt, it uses friction-reducing lubricants to lift grime away safely, preventing microscopic scratches (swirl marks) during the wipe down.

AutoZone's version claims it "prolongs wax", but because it is an aggressive detergent blend, frequent washing will eventually degrade premium carnauba waxes or delicate synthetic sealants.
Costco's version is explicitly pH-neutral. This means it has a completely balanced chemical footprint that safely glides over top-tier ceramic coatings, paint protection films (PPF), or high-end glazes without degrading them at all.

AutoZone's Orange soap is thin. If you put it in a pressure-washer foam cannon, it will instantly turn into a watery run-off that won't cling to the vertical panels of the vehicle. It is strictly a "bucket-and-sponge" soap.
Costco's Coconut Banana soap is thick and dense. It is chemically engineered to hold a heavy, long-lasting foam structure when fed through a foam gun or cannon, hanging on the car for several minutes to dissolve dirt before you ever touch the paint with a mitt.

It foams up really well with my 3200 psi power washer and foam cannon. If you have a lower powered power washer and it doesn't foam up well for you, try changing the filter and nozzle to 1.1 mm foam cannon nozzle and foam maker mesh filter. You can find them on Amazon for about $5.5/pcs or $8 for a set of two. The 3 layer filters with blue filter in the middle are better than regular ones, in my opinion.

Thanks. If I may ask- the dilution mentioned on the packaging looks off like 1:2 with water. Usually with most soaps its like 1:10 or 2:10. Do you know if this foams with that dilution as well or it needs 1:2 only?
