This Klipsch package is a 5.1.2 home theater setup that stands out for clear dialogue, crisp movie delivery, and strong impact for the money. The horn-loaded sound is often described as bright and V shaped, which can feel shouty or fatiguing at higher volume, though careful tuning, Dirac, or an Onkyo receiver can soften that edge. The included sub is considered entry level, and Klipsch Reference is often treated as a lower rung than Reference Premier. It is a solid fit if you want an affordable surround system and do not mind dialing it in.
Common Questions (4)
The Klipsch Reference line is commonly described as very bright, harsh, shouty, and fatiguing, with a V-shaped sound that emphasizes highs and bass. Some setups can sound excellent when tuned with EQ/Dirac or Klipsch modes, but the signature is not neutral.
This Klipsch bundle is a 5.1.2 system, while the Jamo and Energy deals discussed are 5.0 packages. The Jamo and Energy options are described as more neutral or laid-back and are often cheaper, while the Klipsch package is the brighter, more aggressive-sounding choice.
The Reference line is described as entry-level Klipsch, and several comments say the RP (Reference Premier) line offers better price-to-performance. If your budget is around $800, this package is still considered a reasonable buy; otherwise, the RP line is the preferred step up.
The Reference-line subs are described as having amp failures, with powered Klipsch sub amps reportedly failing shortly after warranty in multiple cases. Newer Klipsch subs are also described as solid, so the concern is mainly the amp section rather than the driver itself.

Keep in mind you're comparing this 5.1.2 vs 5.0 with Jamo.
The Jamo is almost half the price also.
Two very different sound signatures.
Klipsch is considered overall very bright/harsh sound.
The Jamo is more in the neutral sound.

I myself, not an audiophile and looking to purchase an audio setup. please help
Also, "audiophile" is a noun, not an adjective. "Mid tier" would refer to the equipment, which is a tier above these. "Audiophile" is a person.
This is a 5.1.2 the Energy is 5.0.Sonic wise that's a personal choice after listening to them.
General speaking Klipsch is considered very bright/ harsh sounding.
The Energy will be more neutral/ laid back sounding.
You will likely want to add a sub to the energy package.
The sub on this is entry level, so would benefit from a higher end one.

Reading isn't really gonna do much but I get that's really the only option nowadays.
Best place to start is with speakers especially since the quality of them make thee biggest impact on the quality of sound.
I would suggest trying to listen to as many speakers as you would realistically consider.
If you find something you really like, just go with it.
People will always say there is something just as good for less or better for more.
That's all just a big rabbit hole you don't want to go down.
If that's too much work & just want to gamble on a packaged deal.
The Energy package for $799 is a pretty good gamble.
All you'll need is a decent sub and a receiver that has the features you will need/use.
Used is the most inexpensive way & good option ime.
