This Husky rechargeable tripod work light stands out for its detachable light, magnetic base, and surprisingly useful tripod, which also has a standard mount and adjustable height for area lighting or under car work. The light gets praise for task use, camping, backyard gatherings, and even video calls, and the tripod alone is often treated as worth the clearance price. The main caveats are that the 800 lumen claim feels overstated, charging can be finicky or slow on older stock, and the tripod can be unstable or fragile over time. A handy clearance find if the form factor fits your setup.
Common Questions (5)
Clearance prices reported in stores range from about $7 to $11.97, with several shoppers finding it at $7.95 or $8 and some stores still showing plenty of stock. The Home Depot app may show a higher price or out-of-stock status, so checking the shelf or asking staff can matter.
The light itself is useful, but the tripod is reported as unstable on anything other than a flat surface and may be too short for some work. Some units have also had tripod parts crumble or the light break after a few weeks or months, while newer units may snap open normally.
The light has a higher-than-medium turbo mode, but it reportedly dims after about 7 minutes and may not sustain a true 800-lumen output. It is still useful for tasks, camping, backyard gatherings, and under-car work, but not ideal if you need sustained high brightness.
Yes. The light unscrews from the tripod and has a magnetic base, so it can stick to a hood or be used separately for under-car work. The tripod also uses a standard thread, which makes it useful for cameras, laser levels, and similar gear.
It can charge with USB-C to USB-C on some units, but older stock may require a USB-C to USB-A cable because the light may not negotiate with a regular USB-C port. It can also be used while plugged in.

I got so used to paying inflated prices every day at Lowe's and HD when they drop the prices and call them sales or clearance, that I tell myself I got an awesome deal.
I now keep all my purchases tied to Slick Deals. It sucks paying $349 for an impact wrench (body only) then seeing it on Slick Deals a few months later for $149 or $199 with a premium battery and charger.
Would definitely buy 2 more at clearance prices.
