There are a surprisingly large number of great deals on luggage these days. Recently, Woot! had Samsonite and American Tourister 3-piece sets for cheaper than this. Of course, all of these affordable sets are assembled using the same affordable components, irrespective of the brand. The kind of Samsonite that goes for $120 for a 3-piece set is not sold at Samsonite stores. They are outlet / online only models. And ABS check-in pieces all break within a year if you travel frequently. We go through a lot of them. It's usually the shell that cracks when thrown / pressed by a hydraulic door.

These are made with Makrolon Polycarbonate. Apparently top of the line material.

Looks like a slick deal for the material. Won't be counting on the 10-year warranty. Per some brief research on Reddit, it looks like Swiss Gear tries to find a way to not honor a warranty claim. If at least two of the pieces last at least three years, I'll consider the purchase worth it.
