I prefer Denon but imo, if the Onkyo RZ30 comes back down to $700, I think that's gonna be the better buy in the long run.
This only offers MultiEQ, mono/parallel sub out, no sub HT.

Got a display model open box at Bestbuy a few weeks ago for $300. At $500 it's not worth it in my opinion

It has been this price for a while there. It was this price on July 7th and everyday since then. My research at the time said that it was not a good price, but I think receiver prices have gone up. Unfortunately this looks fairly old so I am hesitant on this one. I believe it came out in 2022.

Missing all the accessories and remote but I was able to get them on Amazon. I think the MultiEQ is a little weak.

I've been using this model for the past 2 - 3 years. Pretty good receiver and it should be fine for most people. The 980 model is barely upgraded and not worth a whole lot more IMO.

I don't know if it is this, my Samsung TV or a combination of both but the HDMI CEC on this is the worst I've ever seen in a unit.

Our old Onkyo worked perfectly, the TV and this Denon in particular just fight non-stop. Everything is updated, replugged, cables replaced.

The amount of frustration I've had with this thing is enough to warrant me telling people on this site who have been so helpful over the years to steer absolutely clear. Do not buy!

I just picked up an Open Box "Good" condition (but it might as well been excellent condition as it's pristine for $220 from Best Buy on Saturday. I've had my Onkyo for 8 or so years, but it's started having issues lately, so it was time to switch brands.

Denon is a disgrace to Japanese brands when it comes to quality. It is sorry to see what a storied brand has come to in recent years. I personally will not touch this brand with a 100 ft pole.

I need a receiver to drive my 4 ohm HT Dynaudio front 3 speakers for my TV at normal listening levels. I have 5 in the ceiling as well 3 front and 2 rear that are 8 ohms. Would this suffice? My speaker arrangement is not ideal but its fixed so I have to make the best of it.
