I don't think the 60 applies to the initial deal bringing the cost down? If it does than I am in also!

No the price of the phone but it's applied to the 120 days of service so that you end up paying $50 or so on top of the phone price.

That's a great price on the flagship Moto G Stylus, which is a solid mid range phone. I'm not a fan of the other two Moto G offerings OP mentioned, maybe those are a solid phone for a teen but the price difference to the Stylus with the extra RAM and specs is a no brainer.

I found a Reddit for Fi promo codes, easy search if you don't know anyone.

Nope.

Moto G Stylus 2026 is at $299, and was not mentioned in the original post.

The Moto G Stylus 2025 is at $100 ($99.99) after $200 off.

The Moto G 2026 (not stylus) and the Moto G 2025 are at $80 and $70 respectively.

Note that hardware wise, minimal differences between the Stylus 2025 and 2026 models (same CPU, memory and storage, camera and display size)

So compared to the stylus 2025 from Metro at $65, this deal is basically $105+ to unlock it a year earlier.

The 2026 has brighter(2000 nits) screen, UFS 3.1 instead of 2.2, added Japan's GPS (QZSS), slightly wider selfie cam, slightly bigger battery as far as I can tell. You pay $100 for that, and 1 version newer Android OS version.

The 2026 moto g stylus would be $299 plus $50 for service. 2025 moto g stylus would be $99 plus $50 for service.

Samsung Galaxy A17: $25

These phones are factory unlocked and can be used with any carrier from day 1. The only requirement is you activate the phone on a Fi line and keep the plan for 120 days. You can delete/deacrivate the Fi SIM but you cant move it to another phone. Fi flexible plans is $20 per month and you get $60 credit signing up with ref so you end up paying price of the phone plus $50 for the service. After 120 days you can cancel the line or pause for the next deal.

For Moto phones you do need to port a number if you are not an exsisting customer. You can open a line with tello or some cheap MVNO and port it over to Fi or open a new line on Fi with referral and do these deals as an existing customer after 21 days.

Its funny you posted this, I was considering it because I still have not traded in my Flip for any of the Z 8 deals . Was considering waiting for the s27 deals for my main phone.

On Metro you can get the phones close to free paying one month plan but they are locked for a year, I think even the Moto Edge 2025 is free on Metro whic. Plah is better phone than the stylus though no microsd . Plan req is 65 days

With Fi its also plus service , but if you are already an existing customer and you have the friendly credits, the service cost is a non issue. But if you signed up as new with a friendly credit, you pay $25 estimated first month assuming no data, and then . credit covers month 2 and 3 and you still need to pay 4 and most of 5 if you have no one used your code

Yeah, metro is good if you can wait for a year. I think the phones comes with a lot of bloatware. I personally prefer factory unlocked phones from Fi with no bloatware and ability to use with your carrier from day 1.

Yeah, I just got the A37 as a backup travel phone though like you said its useless for a year. But it basically cost $40 so will throw it in a drawer . Already debloated it for the most part but it was ridiculous how much bloatware Metro puts on. So many useless games and that Metrozone is just utter crap.

I am actually debating though taking advantage of one of their tablet deals . Either the A11+ 5G or the Moto G Pad will cost $50 + $20 for one month of service. Also full of bloatware and locked. I got the A9+ 5G that is now unlocked but I do not really use it. When I got that one though it was free + $20. But I need it for other reasons. But if I got the upgraded tablet I would sell the A9+ 5G and offset the cost, would just have to wait another year for the unlock.

I am not sure any of these Motos at Fi are appealing though. Hard to settle for the Stylus 2025 when you know you are giving up brightness of the Stylus 26 version but the at $299 , for $100 more I could get the s26 256gb for $399 which is a flagship. I am hoping Fi sweetens some of these deals a bit but if I wait for BF it will be too close to the S27 deals unless I open another account. Does Fi do anything on BF ?

They do but only for pixel phones so if that's something you want to get you can wait till BF.

So let me get this straight. I add the Moto G Stylus 2025 to cart and select the $20 plan. I apply the referral code during sign-up. I port my number in. I have to pay $120 when signing up and after 30 days I get $60 referral credit to my account, which will cover another 3 months of service.

If I cancel my service before 120 days, Google will charge me $200 extra, correct?

Why are you saying we are paying $50 on top of the phone for the service? Wouldn't it only be $20? Or are you including the sales tax in your $50?

Shouldn't the total out of pocket be $120+ tax?

Also, are there any restrictions which provider are excluded from the port-in?
