Hard pass on a monitor with smart features. Keep it simple. At 37", seems like this unit is trying to do double duty as a monitor and tv. That usually is a bad idea, thus the price drop.

I think everyone still has a bad taste in their mouth from the Windows Update fiasco that was revealed. Love my LG OLEDs.

Specifically LG desktop monitors, would try to install MCaffee Antivirus as a companion app when plugging in a monitor. It is similar to how Logitech tries to install their software with any of their mice.

"Thus the price drop?" Multiple manufacturers keep releasing these type 'smart' monitors year after year but this one sale means the idea was doomed from the get-go? Naw fam, we are in back to school season, thus the sale. Something like this is very school (dorm use especially) related. You have a smart TV that can also instantly work as a laptop external monitor and a charging dock for a laptop, game console, etc. What student would want that? LOL....

It was a nasty thing. I loved LG--we have about 80 of their displays at this office. imagine our sad surprise and ick-feeling when all of them suddenly had a spy app that was pushing ads--JUST FROM PLUGGNG IN their display. I'm the unlucky IT that has to go and manually UNINSTALL the LG monitor app from 40+ PCs.

LG is DEAD to me FOREVER. fark that company and their gross spying/crappy-virus-installing ways.

Why is it listed at 34" when its a 37"?

Hmm... I want the size but I don't really want the smart features. And its 60hz which is... disappointing. At least its IPS... I tried a VA smart monitor from LG a couple years ago and it was godawful.

Not exactly. All my monitors are 4k @60 hz and one is at 75 hz and I see the diff. while scrolling slickdeals page. I'd pay 100 more for 120hz.
