if you don't mind a slight lag difference a govee tv backlight 3 pro would be an easier setup and and would have less compatibility issues compared to a sync box. it relies on a camera pointed to your screen than raw data and isn't great if light reflects too much on your panel but for most cases, it's comparable to sync boxes.

I have both, there's no world where the Govee competes with the Syncbox. The only reason I'd go that route would be because of price. With a good setup the syncbox and a nice soundbar completely changes how ypu see movies,video games and sporting events.
