DDR4 ram and no thunderbolt. This is from 2020?
Google says the Ryzen CPU was introduced early 2025.

The specs from another retailer shows the RAM is DDR5 (SODIMM):

It'd be nice for there to be a non-gaming 18" laptop with at least QHD display. 1920x1200 on an 18" screen is not preferable unless you just have bad eyesight!

With all the ASUS models with OLED displays, this Vivobook 18 with an OLED would be awesome!

We've used 24" 1080p monitors for decades now. What are you talking about. I get 27" or 32"...but 18" with 1200p is completely normal.

It's about being able to fit more on the screen without scrolling around. Also, people are typically closer to a laptop screen than a desktop monitor so lower resolutions look less sharp. I didn't say it was unusable...I said it was preferable to have QHD on a 18" screen.

The majority of people never change the default display scaling in windows. If they set it to 100 percent (native) in order to eliminate scaling artifacts and blurriness, they'd find they have almost too much space.

Also available at Best Buy for the same price. 144Hz panel too. My family member got this last time and I think the screen looks great. I believe the ram is 16+16 soldered

I set scaling all the time in Windows and don't see "scaling artifacts". MacBook users have "Retina Displays" and scale all the time. All I can say is to each their own. That's why there are choices. My choice, as I stated is at least a QHD screen on a 16" or 18" panel.

Even if you don't care about the scaling artifacts and blurriness, if you're not setting scaling to 100 percent, then you're throwing away the extra screen real estate you're so concerned about.

Ordered this from best buy instead of Walmart. The seller antonline used Amazon shipping which I thought was weird. The shipping status has been in "delayed but on the way" since the 18th. So we will see if I ever actually recieve it. Their "customer service" just gives canned responses that it can take up to 14 business days to arrive.

I bought a Lenovo LOQ gaming laptop from antonline via Best Buy in June and it's been fine. Iirc, I got the same message but I believe I still received it within a week or something.

I've bought a couple of laptops from antonline via ebay over the years and so far, they've always delivered.
