A coupled of my employees have bought this set for work and im just gonna lay it out there. They suck A LOT. They cant bust bolts to save their life and their usually 10mm bolts. I think this set is great if your a DIY for your house on extremely small projects but other than the normal fix it quick stuff I do not recommend. Maybe the impact if you really need clearance but even then it struggles. The drill surprised me the most with its extremely small chuck size. It's up to you but I would avoid this over the non compact set which does have better deals sometimes. Apologies for the rant

IMO the point of the m12 sub compacts are to have the smallest and lightest possible tools that still seem to work somewhat well. They are not fuel models and thus do not communicate with the battery. Thus, the big batteries make the tool much heavier to use but do not make the tool any more capable, as they would on a fuel models. I would rather have the smaller batteries at $149 on this set. Tbf I use the 5ah in my m12 fuel set and it's great.

I didnt realize they are still making these iffy 6ah batteries. Seems like HD trying to sneak them out bundling with newest smallest set. Odd combo.

A good deal on a cost to watt hour basis but the 6.0s are widely considered to be the most problematic m12 batteries in terms of randomly dying.

The Ridgid sub-compact impact is actually smaller than the m12 Impact and the 12v Skil line.

Do your employees also buy pliers to drive nails, and measure tapes to pry them out and then complain when they fail?

Yeah this set of subcompact impact DRIVER and drill would be ideal for many homeowner tasks, but also for professionals who need the smallest screwDRIVER / drill for whatever job they have. They'd be great for woodworking, installing cabinets, electricians and plumbers driving screws in tight quarters, for instance.

I bought the set for installing overhead heating tracks that required a few thousand screws installed in TIGHT joist bays. It worked fine, and it didn't tire me out near as badly as my heavier impacts. Right tool for the right job.

I bought this set when I needed to assemble a desk for my brother and it was finally that thing lol. Mine came with 2ah batteries which I'm totally fine with since they're tiny. Power was okay. Better than the $30 black and decker I used to use lol.
