Does anyone have any input on this router? I currently have the XFinity XB6 modem/router combo and don't know if there would be any real reason to switch

After some research, I just bought the CODA56 modem and this router today. Hasn't tried yet. Based on the reviews I see it should be a decent one. Definitely don't want xfinity gateway as they use it to create the "xfinity" name WiFi hotspot for other people.

Solid router, dependable. It does WiFi reliably and Ethernet too. I live in an apartment so I'm not sure how coverage is in large spaces but no complaints here.

I use this instead of the Comcast router because the comcast one doesn't let you have enough control over the NAT settings which made my plex server inaccessible outside my network. Here you get all the controls you need.

You know you can change the name that your router shows up as or set it up manually so it doesnt broadcast a name at all right? There are plenty of reasons not to go with a default xfinity router, but that is not one of them.
