I bought a little Amiibo emulator for about $7 that has nearly all Amiibo on it from ALIEXPRESS.COM. I can import more to it as well. It has an auto-shut off and lasts about 2 months on a battery charge. So much cheaper than buying the plastic mold. If you're not a collector and just want the video game enhancements, this is the way to go!

I feel like I get free shipping under $35 sometimes from Walmart without Walmart +

When they do charge shipping, you can just add something else to your cart, checkout with free shipping. then cancel the add on to keep the free shipping

I love these but the utility is not there, basically just buying them as statues, but they should be half the price even though the quality is great. IMO

Still kinda wild that these were only $13 a few years ago, and that was before many retailers offered 10% off for pre-ordering them, too. Now, they typically run $25-30, some even up to $55 when less and less games offer support of unlockables from them, and that doesn't even account for how many release months after their corresponding game first launched. I'm glad Nintendo is still producing them, but it seems like even they are kinda surprised the sales are still holding up?

FWIW, the new ones are larger and / or more detailed, some of them much larger. It is hard to tell from the product photos, but obvious in person. That being said, they are still overpriced, e.g. this one would feel right at $20 MSRP (instead of $25) and then $15 on sale.
