This is a decent price. I have bought a different kinds of bluebird houses and I had something similar to this and it held up nice and the bluebirds loved it

That's an awesome price. I have built a ton of these exact same birdhouses for family and friends and I can't build them out of regular pine for that price, let alone cedar.

It's cute but I don't recommend this box, especially in hotter climates. The floor space measures only 4" x 4.5" which is on the smaller size. Larger clutches will need more room especially in hotter climates.

I'm also concerned about the durability and the cedar walls and roof should be a little thicker for greater durability and to insulate the birds from summer temps. I took the roof off mine and installed a camera. When I put the screws back to reattach the roof, most would end up spinning in the wood (and I did not over tighten them). So I would not buy this again. Instead I'd buy one with thicker cedar and a larger 5" x 5" floor.

Now, for heaven's sake, if you want to help the birds and not help a predator like a snake or raccoon to a baby bluebird happy meal, then properly mount this bird house on a pole with a raccoon baffle... otherwise the birds are sitting ducks to be eaten before they get a chance to fledge.
