So anyone considering this, care to share your use case? (Hobby vs Business)

I personally would want it for making my own custom accessories, especially automotive. I love purpose built storage for things like car door jams, center consoles, tool chests, etc but don't have the design skills to turn irregular shapes into usable templates (which meet my aesthetic demands at least). This might would solve that problem...but could require its own set of skills to turn the scan into a usable 3D printed object. Also I ain't about to spend $1900 to do it either Wink

*For example, I have a Jeep compass that has a huge storage area in the dash but every edge is tapered in a different way and the edges are all rolled differently and not all on the same plane. it is the most irregular quadrilateral possible. And the area as built is so wide and with such a small lip whatever you try to store there just ends up rolling around or jumping out entirely. In my mind scanning the area would be the easiest way to make something without a crap load of prototyping to offset my limited design skills. (which I may be slightly underselling). I also like the idea of custom protective cases for things like retro handhelds or game controllers.
