So funny that Adorama's deals are always Lake Placid Blue. If I ever run into someone in the wild with this color I'm going to ask where they got it, haha. BTW, I have this guitar in Hialeah Yellow and I love it. Awesome strat! Especially at this price.

I wonder if Adorama orders them because it matches their logo.

I recall hearing that LPB is an exclude color for Adorama over the last few years. Definitely seems like they always go on sale.

No need for one. I have an ultra and others. But was wondering when we'd see an Adorama deal again!

My teenager is learning on an acoustic right now and wants an electric guitar. Any recommendations regarding a first electric guitar? I know next to nothing other than I would need an amplified speaker for electric.

JHCE8394 seems to still work. There are two boxes to enter codes, the right one is the one for coupons.

This is a strat. I bought the tele when it was on sale a few months ago and really like it.

depends on your price range. you can get a pretty great guitar these days for less than $200. Probably better off asking your kid's teacher but Squier strats are pretty standard first guitars. Modeling amps are pretty great because they let you experiment with different effects without having to buy a bunch of pedals. You can always google best guitars/amps for beginners I'm sure there's plenty of lists. check out https://www.guitarplayer.com/gear...combo-amps.

Checked again: code works for the strat but not the tele (the pictures are correct; the title needs to be updated).

Check out Tease Guitars. Small boutique company. He makes great guitars that the quality punches in way above the price he charges.

I'd get this one. We ended up buying this guitar and a Squire a few years ago as our son's first guitar. He tried both and the sound on this guitar blew the Squire away. It was like night and day after only a few notes and we're not even music folks. 4 years later he's still playing regularly and loves it. I really think if we had stayed with the Squire he would have stopped playing.

At $500 budget this is good, or buy a used prs se off reverb or marketplace. If you want to spend less you def can. The squire guitars are really pretty good and can be had very inexpensive w a practice amp (like under $2-250.). Make sure the student thinks it looks cool. That's most important part. They gotta put in the time and if they think it looks cool they are more likely.
