I personally never load the full amount it can hold because it makes handling the line pre load easier, is faster to do, and there's less chance it gets tangled on anything. Overall it's "easy" but that's a relative term when talking about string trimmers.

Another tip for trouble free line feed is to use only ROUND 0.095" line. Spray some silicone lubricant into the two holes on each side of the trimmer head after string reload to reduce friction during operation.
I have a big property but don't want to bother with mixing gas and fuel. A 10 A electric trimmer with 100' 14 gauge extension cord is almost maintenance free. Use the Harbor Freight speed control if the trimmer lacks a variable speed trigger. My 10 yr old Greenworks 10 A trimmer is still going strong.

I have a 6 year old EGO trimmer that lasts maybe 10 minutes. Is this a big upgrade?
The secret is in the trimmer head. I put the Speed Feed 400 at the top because it comes with adaptors to fit most trimmers. You engage the line feed mechanism by tapping anywhere on top of the head. Attaching a 5/16" bolt to the middle of the head will greatly extend the useful life of the plastic head. About 30 seconds to load 16' of 0.095" line. No disassembly.

Open the motor's case every other year to blow out the accumulated dirt. Also lube the bottom drive head and drive shaft with grease to prevent motor overload . Some modern trimmers no longer come with a grease fitting! I will gladly trade the inconvenience of an AC cord over a battery pack.
