Community Reviews
Ultraboost 5X comes across as a lightweight, cushioned running and walking shoe with enough bounce for easy miles and faster runs, while also working well as an everyday casual pair. The attached tongue and slip on feel are part of the design, and the shoes reportedly look better in person than in stock photos. Fit is the main watchout, since sizing can run narrow or vary, with some needing a half size up or a larger toe box. Wide feet may work with sizing up, but not every fit issue disappears.
Common Questions (4)
It can work for wide feet if you size up, but the fit is still narrow enough that some wide-footed wearers find it painful. The stretchy upper helps, yet a large toe box seems important for comfort.
Many wearers need a half-size up for the best fit and comfort, and some Ultraboost sizing can be inconsistent enough that the same size may feel too small or too big. If you are between sizes or have wider feet, sizing up is the safer choice.
Yes. They're described as a comfortable casual, walking, and running shoe with enough bounce for easy or faster paces, and the cushioning is praised for making jogging feel effortless.
Yes. The tongue is attached by design, which creates a slip-on feel and is a defining Ultraboost feature, but it can bother people who prefer a traditional loose tongue.

I have 6 pairs of Ultraboost 5x's and bought this black/grey pair on the $70 deal last. They are great casual/walking/running shoes. I have a pair of Boston 13's and am waiting on a pair of Hyperboost EPHR. I'll probably be buried with a pair of Ultraboost 5x's on though.
Edit: Yup my suspicions were correct, you must have a large toebox and not actual wide feet since wearing these caused me a lot of pain.
