This 43 inch Samsung Movingstyle is a rolling 4K smart monitor built for flexible room to room viewing, especially in kitchens, apartments, exercise areas, and other spots where a fixed TV is awkward. The sturdy stand and white design fit well in spaces where a normal television looks out of place, and the large screen works for cooking, sports, or a secondary TV setup. The main tradeoffs are the VA panel with weak viewing angles, no touchscreen or built in battery, and a size that can feel cumbersome to move. Carpet also makes rolling harder, so it suits stationary mobile use more than true portability.

Is it a touchscreen?
The LG StanbyME is a touchscreen with a built-in battery, and the display can detach from the stand to function like a giant tablet. This Samsung model offers none of those features. The LG is the much better option in this category.

That's only a 27" screen though and is also $320 more than this?

Keep in mind this is a VA panel so bad viewing angles. Better to go with LG as they use IPS panel for their monitor that comes with a mobile stand.
Lol...this stand is mobile and swivels/tilts for a reason. VA is perfectly fine for its usage.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

I used this as a tv for a week. The base is very sturdy and good quality. But it's impossible to move on carpet. The monitor is not that bright. Speakers are bad quality. Built in apps are ok speed. I prefer a real tv than this for sure.

What's the use case for this? I have a tablet, and i rarely use it except for on the couch sometimes. I see in the pictures people use it at like a dining table, but most people are either talking to each other or on their own phones to watch what they want, and in the living room there's already a TV, i guess it can be used as a secondary screen for someone else to watch something or have 2 things going at once
I use it mostly when I am cooking/meal preping, and I move it to my bedroom as a white noise machine as I dont have a TV in there

The price doesn't show $480 for me.

1) are you signed into an EPP or EDU account?
2) Have you purchased any other monitor this calendar year from Samsung's discount program?

I have this, got it last month. It's overall recommended. VA panel is surprisingly good enough. Is it better than oled or even led? No but I didn't think it's bad enough to be a deal breaker. I use it in the kitchen & dining table to watch something while eating and with the indoor workout bike. Everything is high quality. It doesn't have a battery, and even if it's mobile, I barely see myself moving it around since it's tethered to the wall anyway. But if you have a space that a normal TV would look odd in, this is great. I like that it's white too since my kitchen area has a lot of light and this fits right in.

For some people living in an apartment this might be their only TV that they move from room to room. But for the average person that has multiple TVs already a logical use case for this is in the kitchen if you don't have room to mount a TV and don't want to take up counter space. Or if you have an exercise area that doesn't have a TV. You could move it back and forth between the kitchen and where you exercise.
If you are plugging in the tv between 2 sockets on the regular you are going to break your sockets.

You just use a power strip.
