Make sure to keep the box. It's not easy to find something to ship it back if you need repairs, and Samsung is shitty to you if you have no nearby service center. Took me 3 months to get my first replaced. Second one they gave me a refund and I bought a different brand.

Guys this monitor sucks ass with amd drivers and you need well over a rtx5070 to run both this and a 5k XD i upgraded to a 7900xtx and it still isnt enough vram lol and i get more issues now with the xtx then the rtx
Not sure why you are having so many problems but I've had a great experience with this monitor and a 9070XT (and a 7800XT before that). Works great for productivity and with gaming. The only caveat to gaming is you need some kind of upscaling in really demanding games at native resolution. But that is true of even the mighty 5090, if less so. 7680x2160 is just a massive amount of pixels for any graphics card and pushes the vram requirements. Upscaling has worked really well though with my 9070XT.

I haven't had any weird driver issues either. I have a 49" stacked on top of the 57" and no issues driving either.

I am sitting in front of mine here in August and feel zero heat coming off of it unless i put my hand 1/4" from the screen. Now, If you turn on HDR in Windows for whatever reason, it does get hot. If you turn off HDR in Windows it acts like any other monitor. Not sure why that is. But I turned it off over a year ago and it's perfectly cool.
At the same time, I sat in front of mine for over a month and could feel my face literally burning every day from the radiating heat until I ultimately returned it in favor of the LG 5K2K. This was with HDR always off and brightness never above 75, both of which should have resolved this but didn't. Never had even remotely close of an issue like this with the LG and haven't looked back since.

Just curious, what was your issue with your unit that needed repair?

I originally commented that it's only $999.99 with military discount, but I think that may have accidentally clicked the 49 inch version of the G9. Whoops.

There's not a 57" OLED Wink
but you got the rest right. The only way it will ever be that price again imo is if it's an open-box or a price mistake.

Love this monitor. Basically two 4k monitors side-by-side.

Be warned though, it's practically a space heater. Great in the winter, not so much in the summer.
I got mine on the woot deal. Haven't noticed a heat difference. I feel like the 4090 I use to drive it is the ultimate space heater.

Another comment from an owner: yes, it can be a space heater. I don't know all conditions where this is true, but it will be very warm if HDR/Windows11/RTX5090/240Hz/7680x2160. When I turn off HDR, the heat goes away.

This monitor absolutely slaps for work and gaming. Do be warned though, the v stand is huge, so arm/desk mount is the way to go. Haven't had issues on MacOS as well.
