Not the K variant of the processor, and only 16GB RAM. Still... this is decent in the current market.

In 2026 its been habit to have one of these 3 cheated on near this price range:
32GB Ram
i7 Ultra
12GB video Card

So you get the goods, but the community is still saying WTF this should be $1200 not $1500... its just the eye roll of current prices.

I think it's more PC crowd, than Slickdealers, though you obviously get a bit of both.

In my case I've considered a new computer for a few years, and my friend has almost always had a reason why anything in this price range is bad. If it's the 5070, it's the 5060 TI 16GB is better for the VRAM. If it has all of the above, it's bad because the PSU sucks, or it's an Intel 14th generation CPU that is prone to breaking. Or it's all of the above, with the downside being the company behind it is truly awful. Even building has the same criticism, without much less cost.

OK but ... do we need a techie for this critique? not AI is not AI. You don't run any AI with a Intel 265f, 16gb ram and a 5070. NONE of those components are good for AI. They are simply lying with their marketing. The motherboard is a "business motherboard with RGB" (wtf?). Bestbuy has 4 other similar configured PCs at this price right now. (I just checked). If there are a half dozen other similar low spec computers at this price, do we need techies? Low spec, regular price = no techie commentary. Smilie Now, if we gonna talk about the horrible HP 5090 inernals at $3600, more will jump in.

It's funny that you said it should be $1200, because that's the exact price I said would make it "worth it" when I looked at the specs. MSI doesn't have the greatest reputation for prebuilt machines either, AFAIC, despite all of their "mil-spec" marketing claims on a lot of their hardware.
