I bought this case and have mixed feelings. It has less storage than I expected. The space where the battery goes takes far more space than I expected as it rotates out and that space is mostly air with the battery right in the middle. You'll likely not store much in there. In the picture that's the latched area at the right. It's the entire width and length of that latched cover, plus the depth under it. So, about 1/3 of the case is taken up by the battery. The storage under the light contains some small bins for fasteners or whatever. That area is useful, but not very large. The latch on that area's lid is mediocre. Be sure you really press it down to latch it or, like me, you may spill out a bunch of screws when you lift it up. I won't do it again, but I bet someone else who opens and closes it does.
The light is exactly what hoped as far as brightness goes. It's certainly useful, and you can charge a phone in it. The USB jack is USB-A. For my needs, a Rover light and a regular PackOut of this size would probably have been more useful. The one advantage is you can charge a phone in the enclosed case to protect it.
Overall, I'm glad I have it, though I wouldn't buy it again.

That's exactly how I feel about it and I agree with everything you said. I got mine in a combo with the rocket light, which is what I was after. It's so useful at times, but utterly useless most of the time. 6.5/10, would not buy again, but don't hate owning it?
