This DeWalt DCD801 kit stands out as a strong value for the drill alone, with the bare tool described as worth over $100 and the included 4 Ah Powerpack batteries called especially good. The clearance price around $134 to $136 makes it feel like a solid find, though pricing and stock vary a lot by store and the deal appears to be in store only. The kit is not DeWalt's top drill or top compact model, and the clearance may reflect battery shelf life concerns. A worthwhile pickup if you can locate one nearby.
The kit can be an unusually low-cost option when a store has the $134 clearance tag available in-store.
Battery shelf-life concerns may explain clearance timing, so the drill itself is not the primary reason for liquidation.
The included 4 Ah Powerpack batteries are described as pretty great, which improves the value of the bundle.
The bare drill tool is described as worth over $100, which supports the kit's pricing when clearance inventory is found.
In-store clearance availability can be inconsistent, with some locations showing units available while only a few are actually on the shelf.
The kit is not positioned as the top-of-the-line DeWalt drill, with commenters pointing to other models as higher-tier options.
Battery shelf-life timing is questioned because the DCD801 has only been out about a year, which may make clearance reasons less straightforward.
The batteries and drill may not have been manufactured on the same day, so shelf time could differ between components in the kit.

Wonder why they are clearing out a new drill ?
I know they've had issues with the anti-rotation mechanism.

That's a pretty short time to clearance them for battery shelf life.

$134 is nearly instabuy price for this, even if you don't NEED another drill. The included batteries are pretty great!
These clearnace prices are IN-STORE ONLY, so I'm hoping that they won't be cleared out by the time I get off work today, fingers crossed...
The fb marketplace scalper sold all his $9 Ridgid fans, all nine of them at $50 each.
He is probably lurking in here as well, and waiting for the DeWalt drill to drop to $135, buy it and flip it for $189.
