That's a shame, as you will be missing out on some really good filament. They advertise that their Panchroma lines can go in an AMS as it has a sealant and I've had no issues. If it still bothers you, I'm not 100% sure if you can do it on Panchroma, but on my Elegoo cardboard spools (the ones I want to put in my AMS), I rip off the cardboard and stick it in a plastic spool. The 1st time took a bit, but now the whole process takes me less than 2 minutes.

Polymaker is from the best filament on the market. I'm saying this from personal experience as I have close to 500 rolls of filament at home. You won't find it much on SD as it almost never goes on sale. If you ever have any issues, they have outstanding CS and will help you with any issues including print profiles (all though they have json's on their site to import in to your slicer)

I got an amazing deal (well, price mistake) on 40 spools of overture petg that all came on cardboard spools so I quickly adapted. The printed edge mod works plenty fine for my AMS and drier rollers. I'd prefer reusable plastic spools but the adapter edges has worked flawlessly for about 30 of those spools at this point lol.

Really never tried Polymaker before? They're probably the single most well-known filament brand that's been around since the beginning. They used to be one of the only quality filaments back in the day, but a lot of the brands (Sunlu manufactures for a lot of brands) have caught up now.

I carefully peel the sides off one at a time and insert a BAMBU or SUNLU SPOOL half then flip and do the same for the other side. But yeah Poly is the only cardboard spool I will run in my AMS.

Anyone have any experience with these starlight colors? Seems sparkly? So I guess it better to use a hardened steel nozzle?

Holy moly this is an amazing price for Polymaker. Seen the purple sparkle color in person and it's absolutely stunning (I believe it's part of the Costco polymaker multipack). A few of the satin spools are on sale for $13 too... can't turn down more white.

I was concerned about that when I saw it in a local store. I looked it up and apparently the sparkles are non-abrasive. Haven't tried printing with it yet.

If you respool, do it 2x to maintain the original curve of the filament.

just print a few of these, like 30g of some old filament... i printed several different ones for various suppliers, they work great in my AMS and Sunlu S4 dryer.

Very new to the 3D printing game. Just got my printer Saturday last week, so I have a lot to learn still. My printer is a Bambu P1S and I know this filament will work. Currently I am using 250g spools. Will this 1kg spool work? I do have the AMS attachment. Any tips or tricks would be appreciated. Thanks

Yes, it should work fine. 1kg spools are the most common size. Some in the comments here are concerned about the cardboard spools in an AMS. Others are saying it is fine because Polymaker seals the edges. My printer holds the spools in the center and that works fine. While in an AMS the spools roll around the outside perimeter. If the cardboard becomes an issue, you can always print an adapter like the one linked above your message.
