Segway's Cube 2000 is a high capacity LiFePO4 power station that stands out for camping, backup power, and charging tools or batteries. It has enough output to run a shirt press for hours, and the battery holds charge well. Solar recharge with two 200 watt panels took about 6 to 7 hours. The main drawbacks are the 1200 watt bypass mode, high self consumption with the AC outlets on, and weak UPS behavior when power returns. App dependence, future support, and expansion battery availability are also concerns, making it best for straightforward use rather than set and forget backup.
The power station can run a shirt press for a few hours during camping use.
The unit can hold a charge long after and can work well for multiple devices.
A software update can help prevent problems, and two units reportedly worked fine after updating.
Two 200W Renogy solar panels can recharge the power station in about 6-7 hours.
Expansion batteries may be unavailable, and the expansion option may not be practical anymore.
The app may stop working later if Segway stops updating it.
Bypass mode is limited to 1200W and the unit may not restore to full battery state after a full drain.
AC ports can draw high self-consumption and may not automatically turn back on when shore or wall power returns.

Whether Segway will be able to repair/replace the unit for warranty after they are discontinued (probably soon) is another story.
Whether Segway will be able to repair/replace the unit for warranty after they are discontinued (probably soon) is another story.
edit: I then used this unit as the UPS for my NAS, modem, router, POE switcher. After 3 months, this unit is completely dead. I guess it does not support UPS mode as most other brands do. Continuously drawing and charging kill it.
I searched for "Segway Cube Series Expansion Battery Pack BTX1000" on google/ebay and found nothing.
Any recommendations on solar panels?

They'll eventually stop updating it and it'll stop working.
