This DEWALT DCB205 5.0Ah 20V battery deal stands out for driving the effective price way down, especially when paired with the in store rebate and, on larger orders, the member offer. The battery is described as reliable XR 5.0Ah stock, and the rebate can be redeemed up to four times, with the credit arriving by postcard in about 4 to 6 weeks. The main catch is that the rebate is in store only, cannot be used online, and must be spent all at once at Bomgaars. It works best for shoppers who can reach a store and use the credit immediately.

This is definitely old battery technology, most online retailer & big box store are getting rid of DEWALT MAX5.0 old stock to make room for DEWALT POWERPACK tabless and POWERSTACK batteries!
XR 5.0Ah DCB205 batteries (this model) are probably some of the most reliable 20V batteries that DeWalt makes. These may be on sale simply because after they have been unmonitored for a year or more you risk deep discharge.

DEWALT Premium Lithium-Ion Battery 5.0 AH, 20V MAX, DCB205
Refular price $179.99, sale price $59.99- $40 in store rebate credit= $20 final cost
This hardware store is the place to purchase DeWalt products - just gotta wait foe the sales and rebates. I have done this rebate twice before successfully. Read the limits on the rebate (i believe the maximum number of batteries is 4). Rebate for instore credit takes between 4-6 weeks to arrive via postcard. FYI Bomgaars makes you use the entirety of the instore credit at one time... so if you have $20 credit and you buy one $15 of merchandise, you cant cary over the remaining $5...their co routers aren't set uo like that .. so find other stuff to use the max of your instore credit (ammo is always a good filler)
My understanding is theybdo this rebate a few times a year to rotate thwir battery inventory - so check the dates. Ove the 5 batteries i purchased for myself I hat to Jumpstart 1 battery... but if that didnt work could exchange it or use manufafturs warranty.

Store locator: https://www.bomgaars.com/storelocatorBasically Ohio to Idaho and Texas to Minnesota. If you can't shop in-store, the rebate credit will be relatively useless.
They also have online...and stores in Iowa

Interested to know as well
My understanding is yes, since the rebate page asks if you purchased it online or at a store

FYI - Deal dates are 8/12/26-8/17/26. Also if you are buying 4 looks like you can combine with the $50 off $200 member offer on 8/15/26.
Is there a online code for this ?

No you have to sign up to be a member and it automatically takes $50 off your cart if over $200 (or when then enter your membership info in the store). Ordered mine today for store pickup. $189.96 before tax for 4 batteries. After rebate works out to $7.49 per battery.

The rebates can only be redeemed at the store?

https://www.bomgaars.com/bomgaars...ubmissions

How do I use my rebate?
  • Rebates are in-store merchandise coupons that can only be used one time.
  • Rebates cannot be used on bomgaars.com

You sure this gets you a $40 rebate or is this getting the battery for $40 and a $20 rebate? I'm reading the rebate as a $40 battery and $20 in rebates. I have a local bomgaars and they do have killer DeWALT deals. Either way a 5am for $20 or $49 is a solid deal. Thanks!

This is good for a $40 rebate, from their site:

Rebate #634
$40 DeWalt® 5.0AH Battery 20V

So $60 out the door, then $40 rebate for store credit. Up to 4.

(I merged your post into a slightly older thread with more helpful info, so there is likely more answers you can scroll through) Good luck!

I purchased 4 batteries at the same time online and wonder do I have to submit the rebate form 4 times? Probably not, but can anyone with experience with Bomgaars rebates confirm please? Thanks in advance.

You can't use the rebate online...and Iowa is between Texas and Minnesota.
