Community Reviews

JBL Live Free 2 are older true wireless earbuds that stand out for comfortable fit, strong sound, and solid noise canceling at a low price. The sound gets called clear, crisp, and bassy, with easy sound customization and loud volume. Real world use also includes stable connections and no issues across phones. The main cautions are age, with launch dating back to 2022, and reports of battery or reliability problems over time, plus the promo code appears finicky and may be limited to black units. A decent value if the fit matters more than having the newest model.

Was about to bite as I prefer in ear buds over buds with stems like ipods but saw too many reviews about poor cs and buds malfunctioning

I have the Live Pro 2 which came out the same year as this Live Free 2 (that's four years ago). I have enjoyed it. The Live Free 2 should be very similar other than the different form factor. I am not sure whether $45 is still a great price for a 4-year old product though. $50 for a pair of Soundcore Liberty 5 at costco sounds like a better deal to me.

When compared to over the ear headphones, how well does the noise cancelling work well on an airplane?

I bought these 3 years ago and abpit a year ago one of the ear buds started dying after only 20 minutes, I paid $45. The sound quality is great though, just wish they lasted longer.

I have the JBL Live Free NC+ earbuds and they have been very good to me so I ordered this. After a billion hours with my JBL Live 300 TWS, the case doesn't hold much charge any more too so I can retire those. I got a lot of JBL earbuds (JBL Live 300TWS, JBL Live Free NC+, JBL Race, JBL Tune buds). I think JBL make very good earbuds and headphones at a solid value during the deals. I also have a couple pairs of Shokz, Google, Skullcandy and Samsung earbuds too so I have experience with other brands.

I returned 2 pairs of JBL TWS pods before settling on the stems like pods. But they were malfunctioning a lot. The last one I received are functioning ok for two of my cellular device but they would not connect to my Mac.
