These were nice and comfortable for about 6 months, then fell apart, and don't sign up for email, they will never stop spamming you twice a day

I have a stupid but serious question: Were you using them primarily for trail running? I like trail shoes, but I don't trail run. They might last me much longer.

I run in Hoka speedgoat 5 for about 420 miles which is 18 months for me - you could say the latest pair or 1 gen back of Hoka you might get on sale for $120, making these Merrell about 1/3 of the price and 1/3 of the durability since others report 6 months, so in that way it could be a deal as mile for mile maybe they are a similar price, but 3x the waste when you have to throw them out =/ Also energy return below avg

Biggest downside though is 11mm measured drop -- heel strikers only territory.

Are these the same shoes that Amazon was selling for $35 last month? Amazon customer reviews say the shoes are very lightweight, but durability is mediocre.

Merrell shoes face mixed reviews regarding a decline in long-term durability and quality control, though many users still praise their instant comfort

I have 2 pairs of these shoes. Wore them over the course of 2 years to multiple countries, ran them through mud rivers during obstacle races, mowed lawn in them, walked for hundreds of miles. The tread on the bottom isn't honestly that great and I can't imagine trail running is great idea, but I think these are meant for hybrid trail and asphalt so it kind of makes sense. As daily shoes for every day tasks, and ESPECIALLY at this price, I highly recommend. In for two

Sorry for the delay, just noticed the question, no trail running, just ~10000 steps a day (long walk from parking lot to coffee machine)
