The Galaxy S25 Edge stands out as an unusually thin, light phone with 512GB of storage, and that extra capacity is seen as useful for the next few years. The camera is described as decent for everyday shots, especially at 1x and 0.6x, and the pocket feel is a major plus. Battery life and heat are the main concerns, with reports of a warm running phone and weaker endurance than expected. The deal also draws attention because the unlocked price is close to Fi-based pricing tricks, making the value depend on whether those extra steps matter.

  • People who want a very thin Android phone for pocket carry, because it feels much lighter than bulkier models and stays comfortable in shorts pockets.

  • People who mainly take standard photos and videos, because the camera is described as decent or more than capable for regular use.

  • Heavy storage users, because 512GB is described as an optimal capacity that should stay useful for years.

  • Drivers or desk users who keep the phone on hotspot for hours, because it can run that way without issue.

  • Gamers or anyone expecting cool operation, because the phone can run hot and warm up during gaming.

  • People who need long battery life, because battery performance is described as poor or worse than older phones.

  • Mobile photographers who rely on strong zoom or flagship camera quality, because the camera is described as worse than prior phones and the 200MP shot quality is disappointing.

  • People who want a clean Android interface, because OneUI duplication can feel cluttered compared with a Pixel-style experience.

i bought this at launch time and returned it 3 days later (coming from an s22). Battery was horrible, camera was worse. When I checked trade in offers on the new Z8 fold, Samsung was only offering ~350$ trade in value for it.. the rest of the s25 line had much better trade in values. Plus, the fact that they didn't launch an s26 edge says more than enough on behalf of Samsung.

On a positive note - it felt amazingly slim in my pocket, even with a case that needed to be thick enough for how far the camera sticks out.

It's $50 on top and unlocked phone but if you don't know/want to do Fi deals then that's fair.

I am still rocking my s23 ultra. If they would offer more than 200 dollars trade in credit Sansung or Verizon which is a joke for that phone. 512gb 12gb ram.. 200 dollars. N now ima hold on to that s23Ultra, and they will never see it. The s26ultra is enticing but quite expensive rn. This edge is nice, yet not much of an upgrade again from a model I own from 2023.... Staying w Android 100% and Samsung as no1 makes dex like Samsung which i use a ton. But I am open for suggestions...is this the 1st and last year they ran this Edge model?

You can get S26U from Google Fi for $650 plus $50 for serviceand then sell S23U locally for $350 to $400 locally to make a $300 upgrade. Then from next year you can upgrade to latest ultras on Fi without paying a dime

You won't get a phone like this for 512gb that cost alot more for the next few years.

For taking photo at 1x or 0.6x, its fine.
