The Galaxy S25 Edge stands out as an unusually thin, light phone with 512GB of storage, and that extra capacity is seen as useful for the next few years. The camera is described as decent for everyday shots, especially at 1x and 0.6x, and the pocket feel is a major plus. Battery life and heat are the main concerns, with reports of a warm running phone and weaker endurance than expected. The deal also draws attention because the unlocked price is close to Fi-based pricing tricks, making the value depend on whether those extra steps matter.
The phone's slim pocket feel can reduce hand and pocket strain during everyday use.
The camera can be fine for regular 1x and 0.6x shooting needs.
The phone can run cool during extended streaming sessions without excessive heat.
The phone can deliver all-day battery life for some users in real-world use.
Battery life can be poor, including reports of returning the phone after only a few days.
Camera performance can disappoint, including complaints about worse results versus prior models.
Buying through certain marketplace listings can involve counterfeit or refund problems that waste time.
The phone can run hot or feel thermally constrained because its thin design limits thermal space.

On a positive note - it felt amazingly slim in my pocket, even with a case that needed to be thick enough for how far the camera sticks out.
