I know people hate on the CXT line, but I love this ratchet. Being CXT means that the batteries are small and light. You really don't need a lot of power because the breaking nuts free (or tightening) is done by hand - the powered part is just to run the nut/bolt in or out.

Is this a better deal than the Skil BRUSHLESS ratchet wrench 55 ft-lb 220RPM with manual torque up to 150 ft-lb $55 including 2Ah 12V Battery?
I got the $68 deal last summer: Skil PowerCore impact wrench and impact driver with battery and USBC charger?
The Makita BRUSHED ratchet wrench 35 ft-lb 800 RPM sounds tempting but I'm worried about the carbon brushes lifespan and overall cost to repair or replace burned-out ones.

Absolutely, the best ratchet on the market. I have DeWalt and Milwaukee as well but the Makita 12v ratchet is always my go to. Everything else 12v Makita sucks though.

I love Makita, best saws and drills on the market but people hate on the CXT line because Makita has effectively abandoned it in the U.S. and their marketshare is dropping. Most of my local HD stores haven't had CXT tools for over two years now, are clearancing out all the 40-volt XGT tools and shrinking the shelf space for the 18-volt LXT line. Pretty soon you'll only be able to buy Makita online and ar local mom abd pop stores

Because their stuff is always overpriced and not on sale as much as it's competitors. I have Milwaukee 18v/12v, makita lxt tools, and ryobi tools. It seems like I'm always buying tools but very rarely makita anymore because of prices.

In my experience, makita 12volt cxt tools are underpowered compared to Milwaukee 12 volt

Ive had horrible experiences with manitas ratchets. There is a tiny bearing that is part of the reverse switch that seems to always get disloged making the unit worthless. After the second time, ive called it quits on makita ratchets. Both failures where within one year. I did get them repaired under warranty, but this is an engineering failure.

Really like my lxt ratchet. 12v is prt sufficient for a ratchet so This is a good deal if you know you dont ever wanna get into 18v makita. Otherwise this money should pry just go towards lxt ratchet.
