Also, unlike previous years, trade in value is credited instantly ie. not waiting to be applied to the purchase amount AFTER the phone has been inspected. If it were the last year, I would have been charged $789 up front (instead of 289) and then credited $500 later.
I think since the promo has been applied to my Tmo account on the appropriate lines, I'm good.
This would also be a good move to get a bootloader unlocked phone; unlike my Tmo one which will apparently never get the bootloader unlocked (even if carrier unlocked later).
