The Daiwa QR is a compact ultralight reel that stands out for ice fishing and light freshwater setups, with a larger spool than many UL reels that helps reduce line memory, twist, and slow pickup. It also folds down easily for storage, and the QR750 specs list 3 plus 1 bearings, a 5.1 to 1 gear ratio, and a 7 pound drag. The main knocks are a stiff bail close and limited appeal at this price compared with other reel deals.
The QR750 provides a 5.1:1 gear ratio with 3BB+1 bearings and a 6.2oz weight for ultralight handling.
The larger spool design helps reduce line memory and twist for ice fishing and slow line pickup.
The reel can work with 4-10 lb braid for bass when bait depth and cover weight match the setup.
The push-button fold-down handle makes storage and transportation easier than loosening a handle cap.
The reel is not recommended for sabikis because the line and spool specs are geared toward 4 lb mono and 110 feet capacity.
The bail action can require more turning pressure to close than older Mitchell reels, which may feel less smooth.
The deal price may be less attractive because a prior Penn Battle 4 reel deal at $79.99 was preferred over this option.
A local store reportedly had only a display model, which suggests the purchase may not include a new unit.

One thing I don't like is how much handle turning pressure is needed to close the bail on some of these. My old circa 1970s Mitchell reels are still working, and the bails close so much easier.
