The $250 only seems to work for a trade-in pixel, not samsung. For a old pixel 7 that I got with Mint free, this is a new pixel 11 pink for $477 - 100 (amazon gc) - $48 (6% cashback on prime card for $800) = $329. Its a good deal, as long as you use amazon for other stuff on an on-going basis

I did about as well with the best buy 15% offer and they usually adjust sales tax for the trade in on the new purchase. I'd much rather manage the trade in and pickup in person as well to avoid any theft risk/anxiety.

most of us dont. if you set it up right, the upgrades often run around $100 or less
