I mean how can I refuse. That's a joke price for a tube amp. Wasn't on my wishlist, but put in for one.

The easiest way to do that is to put either a volume pedal or an EQ pedal in the effects loop and adjust the level down there (obviously with the amp's master volume down pretty low too).

Edit: And run it at 22W using the half power switch.

I do the same on one of my tube amps, except it has a loop level knob. Setting the effects loop level to about 25% gives a greater range on your master volume knob at lower levels. So adjusting the master volume knob from 0 - 2 is more gradual instead of a sudden spike in volume.

It has a half power switch, but 22 watts would still be pretty loud for bedroom.

Great price. Was tempted to take a chance on it, but then saw it weighs over 50 lbs. Too much amp for this bedroom player.

Get an attenuator or attenuator pedal. Attenuator pedals can be found for ~$40.

It will affect gain stage, not only output volume. You can compensate with adding more gain on amp, but it will come up to the same volume with more noise.

Thank you for the responses, I'll pass on this one. Too much power for my current use case and I already have Bugera T5 and 15W Monoprice as el cheapo tube amps for bedroom playing.

I love my little Bugera T5 Infinium. It really is a perfect bedroom amp. This V55 could possibly wake the neighbors but if you play any with a drummer it could be just the ticket.
