I bought these recently. I think they work fine for the size. I charged them and checked them three weeks later and they had lost about 35% capacity. So the trick is remembering to recharge them periodically because they lose juice even if they're not being used. I wanted one in the kitchen and one in the car.

You need at least 20 flashlights for your cars and rooms in your house in case of emergencies and one for your mobile usage when you go walk your dog etc..

NOT aluminum! I received a two pack today. The only part of the flashlight that isn't plastic is the piece holding the LED. Everything else is plastic. I scratched it with the sharp end of a utility razor and plastic flacks off with deep impressions. And you can feel the difference by the touch test (the aluminum feels colder because it draws heat away from your skin). What blatant false advertising!

Can you replace the batteries easily? What type of batteries? Thanks

The battery type is unknown and not accessible or replaceable. I am quoting below a very thorough review on Amazon by 'LB' (search by keyword 18650). I'm not sure how the reviewer came to determine the battery type or capacity unless he broke it apart as nothing 'unscrews'. If I had read the full review I would have learned that the case is mostly plastic, as I discovered.

1. Battery Design:
This flashlight has a built-in battery that cannot be changed or upgraded by the average user. I don't prefer this design because:
Li-ion batteries can degrade over time.
The included battery has a relatively low capacity (1,800 mAh).

2. Size:
This flashlight is slightly oversized. Most of my single 18650 flashlights are extremely compact and pocket-sized. This one is larger, but the extra size is justified by the slide-focus beam and the additional side floodlight. That said, the main body could be more space-efficient.

3. Casing:
The flashlight is advertised as having an aluminum casing, but only the LED and lens area are aluminum; the main body is plastic. I'm fine with this since it makes the flashlight lighter, and the lens area is the most critical part.

Got mine yesterday, one was fully charged the other was almost fully charged, already used them to shine some light on things I needed to look at around the house, for the money I can't complain, we'll see if they hold up.

7 modes? It'll take forever to close

I just want on/off and nothing more
One push is on and off. To use the modes, hold the on button for a few sec and the side bar lit up, push it again one at a time it will switch modes. The first customer video showed that.

700 lumen? Isn't that the same as your phone flashlight?
Nope, a typical phone flashlight does not exceed 100 lumens. They average around 50 to 60. So this is about 10 times the brightness of a phone flashlight if it's 700 lumens.

It says only 3% one star reviews but there must have been 40 or 50 of them, they say they are cheaply made and don't last long but for $10 I went ahead and took a chance anyway, you cant have too many flashlights!! If they are trash like some say I'll just return them!!!

UPDATE: Just got them today, they are bright and seem pretty decent for $5! If you do a search on Amazon I see very similar ones cheaper though, and I'm sure you can find some super cheap on that Temu and the like!

Exactly! At times you miss the OFF as you quickly try to cycle through and go in a loop.
