Asking the pros here. My current setup is Yamaha RX-A1070 with Klipsch RP8000F as fronts. Will I get noticeable improvement in performance if adding this to drive the fronts via preouts? Alternatively I could use this to drive 2 surround backs and free those to bi-wire the fronts with the receiver. Do you think either will improve current set up meaningfully? Thank you!
Is this good to power passive speakers for a turntable? Or does that require soaking specific? I'm just getting into the hobby
This amplifier doesn't include a way to adjust the volume so you would want a way to do that, most typically by acquiring and using a pre-amp. That said, for $200 this is a pretty decent amp that should work well for a long while.

I am not an expert, but I use a 9.1.4 configuration with an Emotiva amplifier to power all bed-layer speakers, while Kef Q950 and Q650C units serve the front stage. That amplifier connects to a Marantz Cinema 40, and I noticed a slight improvement in the four ceiling speakers which are the only speakers my AVR powers. After installing the amp, I asked my wife whether she could hear a change, and she could not. I have not tried bi-amping, though opinions on that vary. That said, if you can afford this at the price, consider it and power your left and right channels, since you can ensure 90 W of output. Your receiver delivers 110 W with two channels driven, but once you add center and surround channels, you are certainly not receiving that power. Whether you hear a meaningful difference is something only you can decide. Good Luck.
