Grabbed one during the last sale. Plays great, pickups sound fabulous, and it looks better with a black aluminum pickguard.

I have a player plus nashville tele. I can't imagine the Ultra could be better, only different. The player plus is awesome. Back to this listing: This lake placid blue color looks great in person!

Have we stopped the Fender boycott yet? Always wanted a Fender Tele but I thought people are going scorched earth after the Fender CEO is suing everyone.

why do you think we're seeing close to half off deals on player II's and other models? their sales have absolutely slowed down and the retailers right now are the ones who are hurting. adorama, sweetwater, that focus pro audio store recently had a huge fender sell off too. if you don't give a fark about what's happening on the legal side of things, there's never been a better time to buy.

that blue is really nice too. but i have a chambered mahogany transparent red one with a rose wood fretboard. if i were still in the market i absolutely would've snagged this.

Had no idea this was even a thing. Have 5 clearance fenders on the way from my guys at Sweetwater. No wonder they were so cheap!

These are great guitars. There's almost no difference between this Tele and the American Pro Tele. The pickups sound nearly identical. They have the same wiring. The tuners are the same. The necks are the same. The only real difference is that the American Pro has an ashtray style bridge and the Player 2 has a flat one. The saddles are arguably better on the player 2. I've ordered 2 strats from Adorama in the past and they were both amazing. I love the blue finish on these. They have a little metallic fleck mixed into the paint. Hard to beat $550 for a new Fender. These play and sound great.
